THE good times of Gold Coast pair Josh Kann and Matt Kuhnemann just keep going.

Dolphins spinner Kuhnemann has won a spot in a 15-man Queensland Academy of Sport T20 squad which will compete in a Second XI Futures League tournament in Sydney next week.

The QAS will play matches against NSW Metropolitan, ACT/NSW Country, Queensland and a Cricket Australia under-19 team, of which rising allrounder Kann will represent.

Kuhnemann’s availability will depend on Heat selections for the Big Bash League.

Several players in the QAS squad will contest the Premier Grade Final of the Kookaburra T20 competition on Sunday at Allan Border Field, with Valley and University of Queensland meeting in the decider of the tournament.

The winning club will become the Queensland qualifier for the FOX Cricket National Premier Twenty20 competition which features 10 teams from across the country, representing all states and territories.

Adelaide will host the inaugural competition, which will be played on March 5-6, 2019, at the Karen Rolton Oval precinct.

Bulls coaching assistants Andy Bichel and John Davison will prepare the QAS squad.

Queensland’s trio of recent Australian under-19 tourists to Sri Lanka will continue to play for the CA under-19 squad in the Futures League series.

Heat rookie contracted pace bowler Matthew Willans, Gold Coast’s Kann and Wynnum-Manly batsman Corey Hunter will turn out for the Australian youth selection.
