Gold Coast Dolphins Josh Kann and Hugo Burdon star for Qld at national under-19 titles in Adelaide

GOLD Coast Dolphins all-rounder Josh Kann has continued his stellar form at the National Under-19 Championships after his quickfire knock helped Queensland thrash Northern Territory today.
Batting at no.8, the 18-year-old Broadbeach Robina junior smashed 45 from 25 balls - including four sixes - as Queensland piled on 317 in Adelaide before being bowled out with two overs to spare.
The knock took Kann’s tournament total to 177 runs at an average of 35.4, while Dolphins teammate Hugo Burdon ended his lean run with a run-a-ball 87.

Kann then took 1-3 from two overs as Northern Territory were skittled for 151, handing The Southport School product an 11th wicket at an average of 17.8 and strike rate of 19.4.
Burdon, a current TSS student, also claimed 2-31 from seven overs for Queensland, who finished second to NSW Metro in Pool A with four wins and two losses.
Semi finals will be played on Wednesday.
