Huge news Monday Night for TSS Cricket… TSS 1st XI GPS and now State Champions 2017.
The TSS 1st XI flew to Rockhampton Cricket Grounds and played the State All Schools Final vs the NQ winner Rockhampton Grammar School on Monday night under lights.
The TSS boys won the toss by Captain Sol Budinger and were in early trouble at 3/32 off 7 overs with Josh Kann turning the momentum and dispatching the pink ball to all parts of the groun
d with a quick fire 61 ably supported by Jarrod Leathem with 26 and Matt Grant 22no to get the TSS innings to 142 off 20 overs. In reply 2 stumpings early off the wily bowling of Matt Grant by Wicket Keeper Callum Jackson saw Matt Grant take 2/12(4) backed by Josh Kann with 3/2 (4) and Sol Budinger with 2/1(3) to have RGS 9/56 off 20 overs.
The power hitting, throwing accuracy and game sense of the TSS boys shone through in what was a clinic performance and a great way for many of the Yr12 boys to finish at TSS. Well done boys on being a champion team…also full of champion players. Immortality for your deeds at TSS is yours!
