The September holidays has seen a host of Cricket with the annual TSS Camp, 1st XI Games vs Cranbrook (Sydney) and Gold Coast, South Coast and even Qld Rep performances of note.
Also in the Sept holidays we saw Josh Kann, Callum Jackson and Sol Budinger represent Qld Open Schoolboys to play NSW in a series of matches.
In the One Day Game under lights Queensland scored 5/333 and NSW were all out for 244 with an exhibition of clean hitting by Josh Kann at the end. Sol Budinger opened and scored 47 off 30 balls and bowled 10 overs, 2 Maidens, 2 wickets for 9 runs. In the 3 Day Game 1st Innings by NSW were all out for 123 with Josh a couple of wickets and Callum a couple of dismissals then Qld were all out for 352 with Josh 83 off 71 deliveries! NSW in their 2nd innings were all out for 357, Callum three dismissals and Sol 3 wickets with QLD then scoring 2-129 in their 2nd innings to Win by 8 wickets. TSS boys represented Qld with pride and played key roles.
TSS 1st XI culminated their early pre-season training in 4 games vs Cranbrook 1st XI (Sydney) over the break to get quality game time, track progress and commence selections towards the GPS season term 1 2018. There certainly was some fine performances and the 1st XI Squad are off to a good start winning all 4 games comfortably but also gaining valuable feedback on the progress still to be made towards next GPS season.
